Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: AMC Highland Center lot completely full when I arrived early AM. I parked on side of Rt. 302. Only a few cars there when I parked in the early AM and lots of cars there when I returned in the PM.

Comments: A great day hiking the White Mountains. Weather was perfect.
The fall foliage is gone. So, don't go if you are expecting fall colors. Do go if you like fantastic hiking conditions in the White Mountains.
Some folks were feeding Grey Jays at the summit of Mt. Jackson.
I saw a Spruce Grouse on the trail between Mizpah Hut and Mt. Jackson summit. It didn't seem bothered by me at all -- "fool hen".
Terrific views of Mt. Eisenhower and Mt. Washington from both Pierce summit and Jackson summit. Also, great views of Crawford Notch from Jackson summit.
Water falls were nice, but somewhat anemic due to the recent dry conditions. (Although I still love all waterfalls)
