The Kilkenny Ridge Trail has virtually no blowdowns on it! Many thanks to those who cleared them! |

I did the same hike back in July. Then I had to climb over and around many, many blowdowns on the Kilkenny Ridge Trail between the York Pond Trail Junction and Mt. Waumbek. Now the trail is clear of blowdowns. Most of the clearing appears to have been done with an axe. I can't imagine how long it must have taken. I called out a thank you every time I passed a freshly cleared blowdown. Many thanks to those who cleared that trail! |
