It was warm and sunny all day with little wind, so this hike was very pleasant, if hard work for a 75 year old (me). The summit was mobbed with train riders and car drivers. There was a line waiting to take a picture next to the "summit". None of them looked like hikers. Did see a few on the trail. Trails are in very good condition and signage is good at junctions. In places the upper part of Jewell above tree line is a bit confusing to follow, but there are plenty of cairns to straighten you out. |
