Bumpus Brook was low. no trouble rock hopping |

the firs are creeping in, obscuring the footbed in places. only one step over in the first bog section (which was bone dry). |

great day above treeline. sunny and warm and not too windy. plenty of other folks out enjoying the peaks. Howker Ridge is a great trail that needs a little cutting back in places, but it's still easy to follow. |
