Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking area at the Reel Brook Trailhead has the most amazing rock-ice-berg cluster at its entrance that any low clearance car would just freak at seeing. My SUV made it over with no issue. Only one other car in the Mt Kinsman Trailhead parking area.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easily rock hop-able today
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Reel Brook Trail--there is large tree that has recently fallen across the trail just past the crossing of the power lines. Reel Brook and Mt Kinsman Trails have seen recent work; water bars were clear, new stone steps and trails well blazed. Very few and faint AT white blazes on the KRT. High up at last Eliza Brook crossing many people are walking straight up a rocky drainage and missing the trail where it bends slight left.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one dog and he was wearing booties.
Bugs
Bugs: none

Comments
Comments: We made the big loop over the Kinsmans by starting up the Reel Brook Trail. The trail is nice and the cascades and forest are lovely. The KRT was fun: power line crossing view of Bog Pond and ledges, Eliza Brook Shelter is nice and is being treated with respect, many more wonderful cascades along Eliza Brook, Harrington Pond wins for best Fall scenery, tough climbing up the big ledgy steeps to top of South Kinsman. Clouds covered the tops of the Franconia Range peaks but Cannon was in plain site. Impressed by all the work the trail maintainers have performed all along our route today, thank you.
We met two south bound AT hikers.
Congratulations to my Golfing Gals for completing the NH 4k list on North Kinsman, it has been a fun 7 years having you come to the mountains with me.
