I did a quick run up Cannon before my wife and son woke up back at our campsite. Number 8 for my goal of running the 48, though there was a lot of "power-hiking" on this one. Lonesome Lake Trail to the lake was dry and pretty easy. Wet conditions weren't too bad below the KRT, just slick bog bridges, and a few wet spots on the trail. The KRT was very wet, lots of slick rocks, and condensation on trees. Lots of mud and standing water on the flatter sections. Hi Cannon was wet and slippery above the ladders, and drier below. |
