| Water Crossing Notes: |
That which turned us back in the spring was easy now. Several trickles and dry beds in other places, no problem. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This was a week ago, I remember nothing but good about maintenance. Thank you! One question, though. The cairn was there for Middle Carter, but the tiny stick sign I remember from 2012 is gone. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Watch those ledges on Imp Face and bring water. |
|
| Bugs: |
None. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Found a Canon lens cover. Email me if it its yours.
Thank you to the kind man from Lincoln who took the north section of Imp back to his vehicle. We went up North and I dropped my wool sweater somewhere between Imp Face and the junction with North Carter Trail. I described my car to him, he left the sweater on my dashboard. THANKS! |

Just got back from our vacation this evening, thus the late report. Writing primarily out of gratitude. Also, we passed a herd path half way between the junction of North Carter/Carter Moriah and Middle Carter. Followed it into some thick brush. Is this Mt. Lethe by any chance?
Beautiful day for this hike! Lovely views along Carter Moriah right before Middle Carter. I set my myself up for some real education, however. Because I had not done much in the prior weeks, I found North Carter rather steep and difficult. Also, I did not drink enough. This was o.k. for this trip, but you'll see in the next day's report the misery it caused. |
