Water Crossing Notes: None. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few minor stepovers. The trail just below and above the cabin clearing is brushy. The summit sign is standing again, but the boards that make up the sign are not attached to the post, so be careful if you touch it. ;)

Dog-Related Notes: Sure. Saw and hiked with one for a bit.

Bugs: Nope. Way too cold.

Comments
Comments: It felt more like November 1 rather than September 1 for this return to Sugarloaf. Very chilly and windy with stormy looking skies. Dry trail all the way up this continuously stiff climb. No switchbacks on this old jeep road. Even with the weather, still great views from the summit ledges. The stove keeps getting moved around up there. :)
