Crossing of Bumpus Brook on Howker Ridge Tr. was on moss covered rocks; poles helpful. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some blowdowns on Howker Ridge all easily gotten by. One section a little brushy. Quite a lot of Pine Link needs brushing but path easily followed. |

A few tricky scrambles and watch them near the Bear Pit. |

 | Bugs: |
Lots of small bugs once hitting the trees coming down Pine Link but not biters. |

 | Comments: |
Plan of later start and these trails worked well for quiet day. A few hikers at summit. No one met on way down; only seen distantly. First time on Pine Link. Fairly nice trail as compared to other Northern Pressie trails. Dry trails today; I could see them being unpleasant when wet. |
