Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The brook crossing just beyond the Lend-a-hand trail leaving the hut toward Zealand Mtn is not for the faint. On the way up I walk across a tree 150 ft upstream. On the way back I jumped across. Met a hiker that hand gone in thigh deep trying to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Not one blow down but the tree with the summit spur sign was leaning way over.

Comments
Comments: Smooth sailing into Zealand Pond. Some ice leading up to the hut. Ascent to Zealcliff view junction was very icy but had new snow which helped alot for climb. 2-3 inches of fresh snow for the walk over to the summit. Needed microspikes for return trip to the hut. Very quite on the trails beyond hut. Just one group of 4 headed to Guyot.
