||Did the loop around to come up Carrigain from the Pemi. Desolation is about as steep and rough as advertised.|
WARNING! There are wasps on Signal Ridge Tr near the bottom in the gravel switchback section. I got stung twice on my way down, late afternoon. One person in a party of two ahead of me was also stung (I heard him yelling and then learned why as I got stung and then passed them).
