Comments: Skookumchuck to junction of Garfield Ridge Trail

Plan was to hike to summit of Lafayette. I was unprepared for the weather above tree line. Wind was howling and wind chill very cold. Hands were freezing. I called wife and she checked Mt Washington Observatory which reported 70mph winds and wind chill of 20 at time I got to Garfield Ridge Trail.
