Trail Maintenance Notes: Bee line Cutoff had a step over or two, had to crawl under a large blowdown on the upper part of Whitin Brook. Whitin Brook could use some cutting back, but for the most part all trails in this area are easily followed and junctions are well signed.

Comments
Comments: another lovely day picking up redlines in the sandwich wilderness. a little bittersweet though, as i'm nearly finished with this area. so many wonderful trails here and the beauty of the woods/brooks never disappoints. Old Mast is a dream to run down, but my favorite trail overall here is the Kelley trail...Brook Path a second runner up. Red Path...i missed the turn from the dirt road and instead walked all the way to the end and across the edge of the lawn of the lovely home there (owners didn't seem to mind) to pick up the trail. the reason i missed the turn is that the small cairn marking the trail on the left is obscured by the weeds growing on the side of the road. there is a blue blaze there too, but i missed it. i did notice the white piece of wood on the tree on the right directly opposite of the trail entrance, but since it didn't indicate anything, i kept walking.
