 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Late start for us had us parking along the road at 9:45. Not sure if this is normal or Seek the Peak. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Easily crossable. There is a lovely pool from a stream crossing the trail which was the last water until the hut. That stream and pool look like they could make it a wet crossing with more water. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The relocated section had many short mud pits that seemed like they were finally draining out. One of the log bridges on the rework section is dipping. One spot of Frost trail had running water and there was the same issue somewhere along Gale River but I've forgotten where. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
The trail crosses a river at the start and then moves away from the water for over a mile. It will also be away from the river during the relocated section. Keep this in mind on hot days and carry water for the in betweens. The trail itself was doable and the steep section of Gale River Trail was less technical than the steep section of the Frost Trail. Frisco was able to do everything on his own for this hike (maybe one lift assist). All the other dogs we met were very nice. |

 | Bugs: |
Luckily they were not too bad while you were moving. A few more insistent mosquitos one the way out. Summit had a bee or fly or two but nothing buggy. |
