| Water Crossing Notes: |
Had to ford the Wild River (junction of Black Angle / Wild River)... not comfortable for all... water mid-thigh deep and running. The next day we found a better spot, downstream by the foundation of the old Spider Bridge.. and found a way to cross on the huge boulders. |

| Comments: |
We had hiked in the day prior, and set up camp at Spruce Brook tentsite (three tent pads; primitive site). The trek today was Black Angel to Carter Dome > Rainbow Trail (beautiful!!) > Wild River back to the tentsite. Lots of water along all trails. The Wild River Trail along Perkins Notch and through to Eagle Link, was super muddy and the growth "luxuriant," but it was easy to follow Some other hikers had left a huge bag of food at Perkins Notch tentsite which critters got into... and we pitied the poor hikers that would try to camp there now that animals had gotten a huge food bag. |
