Comments: Terrific morning hike to beat most of the rain - didn't see anyone. Nice trails up the backside of Big Sugarloaf (I avoided Little Sugarloaf because the rocks can be slippery). I think there may be an issue with the trail map online, however: I took the Green trail (Goose Pond Trail) to its end at the kiosk and took a right onto the Blue Trail (not that obvious because there is another old road in there and it is a major junction). Glad the trails seem to have a newish chain across them to prevent ATV use!!!!

About halfway to Big Sugarloaf, I lost the Blue Trail in an overgrown log landing and took the most obvious trail to the right which was the White Trail which goes all the way to the top of Big Sugarloaf - ? On the trail map, the White Trail appears to connect back to the Green Trail. Not exactly sure what happened but the white trail may be a snow machine trail?
