Decided to get the pain of both of these over in one shot. Out and back from Gale River trailhead. 24 miles and 7000+ feet of gain. Thanks to Bill Robichaud for recent beta on the north side of Lincoln Brook trail. What a joy that was. So nice to be completely alone with no man made sounds. I remain amazed at the amount of gear people carry for an overnighter in the Whites. That has to hurt. |
