Comments
Comments: The trails were frozen solid so there was very little mud. The river crossing near the parking lot was tricky. Poles were helpful. Heading up the steeps of the Osceola Trail we put on spikes just before the steeper section began. There were two sections where running water had frozen solid. Even with spikes it was much better to use the woods to avoid slipping. Crossing the slide was slippery and required caution. Good views from the view point before East Osceola. Avoid the chimney and go right up the rocks. There was no ice and enough hand holds. Nice views from the summit. We kept our spikes on until descending to the Greeley Pond Trail.
