All bridged. No problem |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Edmunds Path was wet with slippery granite slabs on upper part but otherwise in good shape. Level part before Eisenhower good but very rocky. |

| Bugs: |
Blckflies on way down were bad. Above tree line still a problem when the wind settled down. There is a wasp nest on Monroe's summit rocks. One got me so be careful. |

Wonderful day to be above tree line. Saw a helicopter bringing in what looked like building supplies to the Lakes hut. Must have made 25 trips back and forth. The Monroe Loop from the South is a trail I do not understand. It takes you up(steep and big boulders)and over Little Monroe to a col between it and Monroe. In the col you can see the Crawford Path which is about 1000 feet away and 100 feet down. Why not put the loop there? |
