| Comments: |
Expected worse but Old Bridle until well down the Liberty Spring Tr. had little signs of yesterdays storms. Some mud to deal with on Franconia Ridge (Little Haystack to Flume) but not much more than usual. Lower sections of Liberty Spring and the herd path were like walking in shallow brooks at times. Surprised to meet 50-100 hikers in between Little Haystack and Liberty Spring jct. but any pemi loopers were being advised to go this way on account of current crossing levels. Basin and spots nearby were quite a sight. Highlight of day was hearing stories from those out yesterday including Andrew and Jason on their Direttissima (good luck). |
