Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Check levels before going. We brought water shoes and extra pair of socks. Water flowing, but felt great and easily crossable. Water came under my knees and I'm 5'4"
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of blow downs and lots of mud. Not well mai trained. NO BLAZES, but cairns on slide trail. Got lost due to no blazes or cairns after second water crossing. Stay right! We placed heavy branches to block trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one dog and he did fine.
Bugs
Bugs: Lots! But we treated clothing and constantly treated skin throughout hike and had little problems.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing

Comments
Comments: Suggest leaving pack and poles at bottom of slide and go up, but bring water and nutrition. Slide took us 1 hour up and down.
We have hiked almost all 48 and typically our book time is less than average.
The slog in and out- is what it is. It's essentially a very flat hike except for slide.
It wasn't as bad as we thought or read about.
