Trail Maintenance Notes: Wildcat River trail sign is gone at the split with Bog Brook. Common sense and a map will get you on the trail with the yellow blazes.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Met Link, super nice Husky mix who was out running and crushing it.
Bugs: Many. Biting a lot on the summits.
Lost and Found

Comments: All trails in general good shape. I was able to run up most of Wildcat River trail and down, the rest was a hike. I'm not that good to charge up Wildcat Ridge. Really a great way to access the whole Carter Moriah range. Going from A-D seemed very slow, yet coming back I felt like I was moving well.

This is more of a PSA about a momma moose and two calves that were hanging out between Wildcat C and D. Mom charged the two Quebecois couples ahead of me. I rolled up on her within ten feet before I saw her. She could've turned me in to pate before I even knew what was happening. They moved off when I yelled and smacked my poles together. Trail runner guy and Link dog behind me had a close encounter too. Hopefully she moves off after realizing that there a bunch of gumby hikers there and doesn't become GOS moose part II.
