Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were pretty sloppy after the heavy rains from a day ago and the detritus from last night's high winds. Quite a few blowdowns but most fell away from or parallel to the trail -- only two (about four inches in diameter each) cross the trail. The first is on the Cathedral Forest Trail about 30 yards up from the first water crossing. The second is about 10 yards further up -- it's a leaner, having fallen from one side of the trail about 20 feet above the footpath to land on a tree on the other side of the trail. Lower ledges on Clark Path between PJ Ledge and the Ranger Cabin were quite wet and slippery -- easier to take the Hurricane Gap Trail down to bypass these.

Comments
Comments: Very high "blow-one-over strength" winds on the summit. Great to be out today.
