Comments
Comments: 41° up top, barely 5mph wind, and wicked warm sun made for a phenomenal day. Beyond the flats of the Clay/Washington col the Microspikes went on to cross some iced-over snowfields and get pass the precipitous dropoff into the Gulf, then we simply walked the smooth, crunchy ice along the cog tracks instead of the rocky, uneven trail. Came down around the other side of the summit. North sides of rocks and cairns remain ice-coated, while south-facing are dry and clear.
