| Comments: |
Castle Trail is in good shape the whole way up; but buggy until leaving treeline. 100 yard stretch of the Gulfside trail between Jefferson and Adams, Edmonds Col, is covered by a wide snowbank that angles down from the trail into the ravine. Someone with vertigo might have visions of slip-siding down it into the ravine. In the sun at 10 AM, it was slushy, but in the early hours could be icy. Micros if you have them. Roots and rocks on Israel Ridge trail descent slippery, and lots of blowdowns make for slowgoing. |
