| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a bunch of dogs having a great time, though all needed a good combing after for ticks. |
|
| Bugs: |
Mosquitos were not significant, but black flies were pretty fierce on the way down as the day warmed up. Plenty of DEET and a bandana over the nose and mouth helped keep them from biting. Saw a few folks with face nets and they seemed pretty happy. Wore lots of DEET as we'd heard a lot about ticks recently. |

| Comments: |
Started earlyish (9:30) on Carter Moriah trail and enjoyed a relatively bug-free ascent to the summit. Beautiful clear day yielded lovely views from the peak just before noon. Headed down in warming temperatures (low 70s) and into black fly territory. Pretty thick at times but not overwhelming. Did a thorough tick check at the end and didn't find any. |
