What a great trail, especially for a busy weekend. I saw a solo hiker, a couple and a
group of 5 while i was going up, half a dozen thru hikers on the ridge and a couple and another group of 5 on my way down. It was such a peaceful day that i decided to avoid the crowds on Lafayette's summit. I was glad i did as cars lined both sides of the parkway on the drive home.
The Skook has it all---a lovely brook, beautiful moss and solitude. Snow patches on the upper part of the trail are no longer a nuisance, more of a curiosity. |
