Comments
Comments: The trails in generally good shape although there were quite a few muddy areas that usually could be skirted. The mud was not too wet so the boots did not sink very deeply. Old rail trestle over Black Brook is in the process of being diassembled. No snow or ice on the trail. Small patches of snow at summit of Bondcliff and a little ice in puddles. Most of the summit area was bare rock. No need for traction today. Brook crossings could become more difficult if ice forms on the stepping rocks. Met the "Manchester Marathoner" who was hiking the Bonds to finish his 48th on West Bond. Met many other hikers on this mild November day. Great views in all directions.
