Spectacular day with plenty of fellow hikers. We lingered with an old copy of Scudder's viewpoints to identify peaks in all directions. Weren't planning on this one - picked it to accompany a newbie who didn't show - but oh so glad we did. Maybe it's me but two herd paths to the right on ascent didn't lead to viewpoints, although one had a big spot for a (probably illegal) campfire.
Did not march on to E. Osceola, which I've always feared though others said it was doable today. Very Tempting on a day like this but it was super knee rehab today. As usual the mountains give you all you need and more - on this 29th anniversary hike with the hubby, and the autistic wonderboys reminding us that while life brings you to unexpected trails, there are multiple routes to joy. |
