So so so many cars had to park on the road far down |

Stream at the very beginning is easily crossable |

I have to sigh at the people who cut off the very end of the switchbacks |

Lots of dogs on the trail, all seemed to be doing fine. Water available up the whole Champney Falls Trail |

| Bugs: |
The black flies were out, mostly not biting but a few did. They were horrible as we were hiking out at 5. |

| Lost and Found: |
There was a black jacket with the gortons logo hanging on a tree when you meet with the piper trail. |

| Comments: |
It was a perfect day to be out for our first hike of the year, with so much sunshine I got a sunburn. Crazy traffic on the trail though with lots of loud groups. I didn't realize how truly popular this route is. Red and white painted trillium is out and the hobble bush is flowering. Nice to see. |
