Comments
Comments: Some people were bare booting, i did put on my spikes during some of the monorail sections, the mono rail was on/off so i did find myself walking on dry/wet trail with the spikes till the next mono rail started. A lot of people were bare booting, the spikes just made it a bit easier on certain sections of the trail, however with the 90 degree temps today i'm sure a lot of it has melted even more. Once i started heading over to Eisenhower i put my spikes on again, lot's of post hole sections/dry areas/very wet unavoidable sections. Towards the summit there is still snow, post holed down to my knee a few times with the spikes, very slushy, again doable without spikes. I would advise you to still bring them as it made the decent easier for traction.
