Comments
Comments: Great day for a hike, pretty stable monorail starting at Lonesome Lake and persisting on and off above the hut. We decided to take Kinsman Pond trail down, I wouldn't recommend doing so unless you bring snowshoes. The monorail is very hard to locate and the snowpack is still 3'-4' for most of the upper section. Tons of postholes and the trail was tough to follow at times. The trail also follows a brook for most of the upper section so postholing meant a soaked shoe, which was inevitable.
