I started my ascent to Big Bickford at the height of land before dropping down to the Skookumchuck Brook. I was greeted with nice open woods most of the way until the final push to the top where it was a little thick but not terrible. I popped out on top maybe 20' from the jar. From here I took a line to Scarface with spots of openness and moderate thickness. Once there I followed a herd path to that jar. Then a WSW line back to the trail and out - initially somewhat thick but opened up nicely soon enough. Many game paths to follow throughout - in fact midway up my final ascent to Big Bickford on a game trail perpendicular to my line, what I believe may have been an Eastern coyote ran right past me maybe 8 feet away! Thankfully it didn't pay much attention to me but you can bet I paid A LOT of attention to it!
Unique views were had from atop of Big Bickford toward Garfield and then sloping down from Scarface toward Cannon and the Kinsmans. Comfy temps and nice footing in the woods made this a fun morning. It almost goes without saying: I didn't see anyone else on this route.
