Comments
Comments: Excellent outing to grab these two peaks. Bare booted to Jackson summit though could've put the spikes on for about 3/4 of a mile below the ledges; easy enough to bare boot if your balance is good. Summit bare. Spiked down as it was a steep narrow monorail that was punched through in spots, solid ice in others. Spiked over to Mitzpah where I removed them. Again could have spiked up the last stretch to Pierce but bare booted w/no problems. Coming off Pierce I should have used them to save some time. What a tedious stretch down Crawford to the cutoff. Took longer than it should have but I really had no problems bare booting. Saw only 2 other humans all day. No rain. Blue skies. Total time just under 6 hrs, 8.5 miles, 2900 ft elevation.
