| Comments: |
A soggy trail seemed to be the main theme with some slick leaves and running water through the trail. At the switchback at 3600 feet the partial monorail starts with new snow (2-3 inches) covering it and the postholes. Monorail stable then turns into a tight rope - with unstable footing. Not much wind at the summit, beautiful snow cover on the trees. It was great to meet Gridiots Al and Linda and a nice Vermont duo. All and all it was a great hike with Elizabeth and the best part was the rain held out. |
