Hiked Skookumchuck Trail to 3000 ft and then cut into woods, staying on ridge with open woods and great views of Garfield and ridge to Galehead. Whack was easy with only a few minor bumps on way to summit. Summit was open with what looked like a moose village. Jar hanging from tree with new notebook. Handle was installed, waiting for a canister. I would have brought one up from Ed if I knew it needed it. Old notebook missing. Walked back to col and then headed back to trail via bushwhack with beautiful open woods and glades; views of Lafayette and Cannon were spectacular. A great whack with Steve Zimmer, Skipper and Reuben. |
