Comments
Comments: Patchy black and blue ice on OBP started by 2,500 feet. Some form of traction (Micros or better) was required this morning to get up the Agonies to the hut, as well as the first part of the ascent above the hut. Dusting to an inch of snow until treeline, then occasional dusting in places, 1-2 inches in others. Also some ice between Lafayette and Lincoln. Barebooted from Lincoln to Little Haystack. Some ice coming off Little Haystack, also 1-2" of snow in the shade. Climb up Liberty was bootable, with some black ice mixed in. The slabby area on the back side of Liberty was icy and tricky. Some ice coming off Flume on Osseo as well, including on the stairs. No traction really needed below the stairs, though. Some mud on Lincoln Woods Trail as usual.
