Comments
Comments: The start of our day was incredible and we were surprised by the lack of snow on the ground. As we continued, we encountered a stable monorail and as long as we stayed on it, we were fine but a mis-step was sure to cause a posthole. We preferred crampons for the snowy conditions. We had an incredibly warm day to enjoy so we were hiking in crampons & tank tops! We spent a few lazy hours on Whiteface before heading down. The ledge was clearly marked but when we reached the cutoff, we lost the blazes and had to bushwhack our way back to the trail. We ended up finding the markers for the border of the forest and had to continue bushwhacking for a bit before we picked up the trail again.
