Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Probably a dozen blowdowns on the Fire Warden's Trail, but all can be stepped over -- one is a bit of a straddle.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is an excellent dog hike. There are no major river crossings and no rock scrambles. There's plenty of water in draws and small streams on the Fire Warden's Trail, which climbs at a fairly steady rate.

Comments: After hearing about the unmarked, unmaintained but reputedly excellent Fire Warden's Trail from others, I was happy to give it a first try today. What a fine route up Hale! This will be my trail of choice up Hale from now on.
