Comments
Comments: Great day of spring hiking. Bare booting in mud and mush until 2500 and then put on Hillsounds on Glencliff. South Peak lost all snow, trail up still has 3-4' of snowpack. Going down Carriage Road, used spikes until after Snapper since it didn't appear that anyone had been on that piece, switched to snowshoes and stayed in them all way up and over Hurricane. Carriage Road a combination of snow and open areas. Hurricane had lots of snow but open areas where melting streams washed snow away. Also, tough to follow without a foot bed to look for, not many blazes. Icey off top of Hurricane, switched back to Hillsounds
