| Comments: |
wet trail down low. snow appeared on trail about a mile in. ranged from a couple inches up to the carriage rd. to drifted areas of well over a foot on final approach to summit. some small patches of ice, but generally just snow. light traction recommended. barebooted up to the "agonies" section on glencliff trail then used microspikes to summit and much of the way down. an astounding day above treeline. hardly a breeze and clear views in all directions. the summit of moosilauke was truly dressed for winter. absolutely beautiful.
