Comments
Comments: Air Line going up was in okay shape, packed in the center for the most part but plenty of postholes. I used snowshoes the entire way up and switched to microspikes when I hit the tree line. I tried cutting to the Hut using the cutoff from Air Line, but it hasn't been broken, there is no visible trail or cairs and I went deep into the snow up to my waist so I sort of traversed up and around to Gulfside/Osgood and made my way to the Hut.

I went up Osgood to the summit of Madison and it was a bit difficult and sketchy. It may have been the weather that softened the snow underneath the ice crust but the footing was difficult with one foot sliding off the ice while the other goes knee deep in snow. Crampons would have been better for this section.

Valley Way down was a slush mess (probably due to the warm temps). It was covered in postholes, sticky, and slippery. A few of the water crossings are steep due to the high snow level, so be careful going down towards it or you'll slip and end in the water.
