Comments
Comments: The day started out cool and clammy but the skies cleared and sunny with great views in the afternoon. Temp of 36 with 18 mph winds on summit..cloud line around 4750 I guess. Went over height of land and dropped down to the "T" tree on Rocky branch Trail and cut over to 3100 foot contour..this proved to be a fairly boggy route with some tough spots though we came out to Isolation Trail in a good place. On return we cut into the woods higher up..stayed above 3200 feet the whole way and enjoyed the spectacular birch glades which afforded fine views and nice open terrain..we stayed off trail perhaps a bit far and dropped down to Rocky Branch past the "uphill" and height of land on the way out..Great time..great day congrats to grumpygran on her 9th round
