Super day for a shoulder season hike that was a winter-ish on the ridge. The trail was in nice shape with one set of boot prints that postholed up to Bald Peak - besides the evidence of this lone expert the rest of the way was stunning and the trail was in excellent shape. We experienced some sinking that slowed us down (below 3,400'). Snowshoes start to finish, mostly socked and snowing, with estimated winds around 20 with higher gusts. The ridge is like a super highway best conditions I've seen all winter. Saw no one else. Great hike with B.F. |
