Only real challenge area was the prominent ice flow just below the Lakes hut (approaching on the left side of the hut). Once leashed, he was all set. Good fun bounding down the snowy Jewell Trail below treeline.

Comments
Comments: Lots of hikers & climbers out today! Ammo was solidly broken and packed, no postholes; just a good steady televator climb above the pool. Rather bony from the hut up and over George and down to treeline - full crampons were overkill - light traction was just right. What a day with full sun; the undercast was solidly in place over southern Maine but all bright & clear around the Whites.
