All easily rock-hopped. Biggest crossing of the brook was snow-bridged. |

Saw a couple on the trail, all seemed to be having a blast. |

Found a Swiss Army knife-type tool. Blue and White checkered with "Bayern Bavaria" on it. Left it on top of the trailhead sign at the Liberty Spring parking area. |

| Comments: |
Trail was broken out, but far from packed. As the other reports have noticed, the powder was pretty soft, especially up high. Once out of the fir trees in the afternoon, the bottom part began to get quite sticky.
Saw most people in snowshoes, but a few in spikes with snowshoes on their bags. People seemed hesitant to put them on, which was a bummer because it made for really rough footing going back down. Snowshoes are the way to go, IMO. |
