Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty at 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular 
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction, Snowshoes 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There was a solid snow bridge over the water crossing near the Cog Railway parking area. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blowdowns, all easy to go over, under, or around. The numerous postholes from a couple weeks ago are still there, but easily worked around. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any. The trails were in good enough shape that a winter hiking dog could handle them.

Bugs: none

Lost and Found: none 
 
Comments
Comments: The trail was ideal today. Microspikes were sufficient. There were a few steps in drifts here and there, but nothing significant. Also a few icy spots, but nothing significant. That likely all changes tomorrow if the forecast for heavy snow holds up.
