Parking area at the west end of Gale River Loop just off Route 3 is easily accessed and has good room for 8-10 cars. |

Bridged and easy to deal with. |

A couple of blowdowns but not problematic. Bill cut down a leaner which was a bit of a nuisance. |

Good conditions for winter-savvy canines. A couple of retrievers on the trail today and they were doing just fine. |

 | Comments: |
Firm trails all the way to the top with a fresh dusting of up to 2" on the upper third of the trail. Some sections are barebootable but with icy sections in-between we used spikes from car-to-car. Snowshoes stayed in the car and were not missed.
