Comments
Comments: The trails are super firm with this cold weather. Wore Hillsounds for most of 19 mile brook and then switched to snowshoes because it seemed like a little dusting of snow and I didn't want to ruin any trails... but should have stuck with Hillsounds. Not enough snow for snowshoes and it was tough. Some drifts up Wildcat A, making that section a little tricky (plan on going slow up and down that .7 to be safe). Switched back to Hillsounds at top of A and wore them rest of the hike. Some drifts, some uneven trail conditions, and some ice between the peaks. Saw only one person about 2 minutes from the lot- solo, cold, but sunny hike on the Cats. Thanks to Sunshine and Bobcat for hiking the Cats yesterday, making it easier to find the trail on the ridge!
