| Comments: |
A-Z from Zealand to Willey Range lightly traveled but easy with snowshoes. Several inches of fresh snow on a relatively stable monorail. With spike expect to posthole often.
Willey Range Trail to Mt Field ok with microspikes if you stay on the monorail most of the time. Snowshoes would have been better. The trail to Mt Willey looked lightly traveled and would be best to traverse with snowshoes.
Mt Tom Spur Trail stable and easy with Microspikes as was Avalon Trail. Snowshoes good too.
Snow bridges over the two major water crossings on Avalon are now gone or marginally stable. An alternate snow bridge crossing 50 yards upstream of the upper crossing is ok. The lower crossing had several postholes through it.
